Animals

WHAT ARE THE RULES FOR ANIMALS?

Many of our residents have pets, however there are a few rules to consider under the Animal Control By-law:

  • The Town does not issue dog licences; however, residents are encouraged to affix a tag with their name and phone number to their pet in case it gets lost
  • Dogs must be contained on their property and leashed when being walked in public places
  • Owners are required to pick up any dog waste
  • Dog owners must ensure their dog does not bark excessively as to disturb their neighbours

If your dog is missing, please contact Sean Cairns at scairns@townsrf.ca or (705) 338-2717 ext. 4.
