• BOIL WATER ADVISORY ISSUED – Hwy 11 from LCB0 #138 East to House #164.

ATTENTION RESIDENTS SERVICED BY THE SMOOTH ROCK FALLS DRINKING WATER SYSTEM

Affected area(s): Hwy 11 from LCB0 #138 East to House #164. Also, be advised that you will be out of water temporally while they install a new hydrant. (Please see photo of affected area below.)

Effective immediately, all residents are required to boil their tap water before using it for drinking, cooking, washing food, making baby food or formula, or brushing teeth, due to a potential problem with the water system. The water can be made safe by boiling for at least one minute at a rolling boil. Boiled water should be stored in a clean container in the refrigerator. Alternatively, bottled water can be used.  Adults, teens and older children can use tap water for baths and showers. Small children can be given sponge baths instead of tub baths or showers. Do not swallow any tap water used for showers and baths.
