• Council Meetings – Zoom Webinar Meeting Process

    Dear residents,

    As Council meetings continue to be held virtually through Zoom Webinar, we are working on making the process simpler and consistent. Moving forward, the Zoom Webinar link will be available on the website (www.smoothrockfalls.ca) and on Facebook (www.facebook.com/TownSRF)  2-3 days before the meeting. You will no longer have to email the townhall@townsrf.ca for the invitation link.

    Additionally, when Council and administration proceed into the Closed session of the meeting, residents can now remain on the webinar link and wait for our return into Open session.

    Zoom webinar is a video conferencing system that allows to meet virtually with an audience.


    What device do I need to participate in a Zoom Webinar Council Meeting?

    Zoom Webinar works on the following electronic devices: laptop, computer, iPad, tablet and smartphone device.


    How do I register for a Zoom Webinar Council Meeting?

    The invitation link will be available on the Town’s website and Facebook page. The link will bring you to a registration page where you will enter your first name, last name and email address. Once completed, you will receive an additional email from Zoom with the meeting details. Should you require assistance with the council meeting Zoom Webinar links, please call the Town Hall for guidance.


    Will you be able to hear and see me on the Zoom Webinar?

    No, Council and administration will not be able to hear or see residents that have registered for the meeting.
