Industrial Park

The Ministry of Energy, Northern Development and Mines announced on January 27, 2020 that Smooth Rock Falls will receive $1.3 million in funding to develop an industrial park on the former Tembec Mill site. We are very excited about this announcement as the industrial park will provide the infrastructure necessary to set up businesses and attract new businesses and jobs to Smooth Rock Falls.  The development of the industrial park will also allow the Town to improve water circulation to the northwestern part of town.

The Town has a conceptual plan for the industrial park and construction is expected to begin this year.  The conceptual plan is the same one shared at the public meeting last November in Smooth Rock Falls.  The industrial park is expected to be 27 acres and will have 12 lots. Each purchaser will receive a graded lot along with a paved road with all of the utilities available to connect at the lot line.

The Town will be selling the industrial lots through a public bidding process.  We intend to start releasing the lots in the Spring of this year. If you are interested in purchasing a lot or would like to find out more, please contact Shannon Michaud at shannon.michaud@townsrf.ca or (705) 338-2717 ext. 8
