On January 16th 2018, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced in Kawartha Lakes that Smooth Rock Falls will receive up to $100,000 to implement marketing initiatives that create awareness of the community and drive new residents to the Town.
Smooth Rock Falls is one of the 86 communities across the province that is receiving support through the Ontario’s Rural Economic Development (RED) program. The RED program is helping rural Ontario generate investment and create jobs. Supporting rural communities is part of the government’s economic plan to invest in people, build modern infrastructure and support dynamic and innovative business climate.
The Town of Smooth Rock Falls is very appreciative for the ongoing support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and will be using the $100,000 for our ongoing Marketing plan.
