The Reg Lamy Cultural Centre houses the Hockey Arena, Curling Club and Golf Club-House. The facility is open year round and is located at 195-5th Street.
Amidst the growing concerns and risks with Covid-19, the Town of Smooth Rock Falls is following the proper guidelines that have been provided by the Ministry of Health and the Porcupine Health Unit to mitigate risk to the community.
The Town of Smooth Rock Falls will require proof of vaccination for visitor and participants, unless exempted, as required by the Province of Ontario as of September 22, 2021.

Screening and contact tracing activities will continue alongside the proof of vaccination requirements.
Effective December 20, 2021, requiring proof of vaccination for youth aged 12 to 17 years participating in organized sports at recreational facilities. (which now means anyone entering a recreation facility 12 and over needs to provide proof of Vaccination.
Effective January 4, 2022, requiring the use of the enhanced vaccine certificate with QR code and the Verify Ontario app in settings where proof of vaccination is required. The QR code can be used digitally or by printing a paper copy. Individuals can download their enhanced certificate with QR code by visiting https://covid-19.ontario.ca/book-vaccine/. (which means the QR Code provided by the Ontario Government will be the only receipt/passport accepted)
Strengthening the verification process for medical exemptions and clinical trial exemptions by clinical trial exemptions by requiring a certificate with a QR code. Organizations and businesses that are under the provincial proof-of-vaccination system will be advised to no longer accept physician notes as of January 10, 2022

The first construction of the local arena started in 1950, and it officially opened in 1952. In 1997, further construction started with the new Reg Lamy Cultural Centre and was completed in 1999. The new centre was able to accommodate more spectators by creating a larger entrance wing, as well as a basement level for change rooms and equipment storage.
