Municipal Elections: Joint Compliance Audit Committee

The Municipalities of Hearst, Mattice-Val Coté, Opasatika, Val Rita-Harty, Kapuskasing, Moonbeam, Fauquier-Strickland and Smooth Rock Falls are seeking individuals to serve on the Joint Compliance Audit Committee. The Committee is responsible for considering applications for compliance related to the municipal elections.

The Committee will be composed of three members with:

• Commitment to learning and understanding municipal election campaign financing rules;
• Analytical and decision-making skills;
• Experience working on committees or similar settings;
• Availability and willingness to attend meetings;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; and
• Bilingualism is considered an asset.

Term of the Committee is December 1, 2022 to November 30, 2026.

Application forms are available from the Office of the Clerk in each of the municipalities. Applications are to be returned no later than 4:00 p.m. Friday September 16, 2022 to the attention of the Clerk of the Town of Smooth Rock Falls, 142 First Avenue, P.O. Boc 249, Smooth Rock Falls, Ontario, P0L 2B0
