Notice: 2020 Budget Special Council Meeting – May 8th, 2020

Please be advised at the April 20^th, 2020 Council Meeting, Mayor and Council called two Special Council Meetings for the 2020 Budget on the following dates: May 1^st, and May 8^th 2020. Both meetings will be held electronically via “Zoom Webinar” at 9:00 am – 2 pm.

If you wish to participate for the May 8th, 2020 Special Council Meeting please email townhall@townsrf.ca. You will receive instructions by return email prior to the meeting. 

Meeting dates and agendas can be found on the Town of Smooth Rock Falls Civic Web portal; once they are published, the agendas for all council meetings can be seen at https://townofsmoothrockfalls.civicweb.net/Portal/ 

This electronic meeting is in line with Bill 187, Municipal Emergencies Act, 2020. The act has received royal assent and came into force on March 19, 2020. It amends the Municipal Act, 2001 and the City of Toronto Act, 2006 to permit members of Council to participate in Council meetings electronically and, should they choose to do so, be counted for the purposes of quorum.
