The Town of Smooth Rock Falls has implemented an emergency notification system where urgent messages can be sent directly from the Town to residents through email, text messaging, and pre-recorded telephone call messages.
Using the signup here, residents can add their telephone numbers and email address to our automated contact list. Residents can choose which language they wish to receive messages in, and can also opt-in to receive non-emergency messages from the Town.
Examples of emergency messages include: boil water advisories, evacuation notices, burning restrictions, sudden garbage pickup changes, prolonged power outages, and other urgent matters.
Examples of non-emergency updates include: major community events and announcements.
