Museum & Tourist Information Centre
The Smooth Rock Falls Heritage Centre (Museum) and Tourist Information Centre is located at 45 Third Avenue.
Sheila Jacques, our volunteer curator, has been collecting the town’s history for many years and started the Heritage Centre. The museum has on display various artifacts, articles and pictures from past and recent years. The museum also houses the Tourism Information Centre. Stop by to learn about all the great activities you can do in this area and catch up on the history of our amazing town. The pictures of the Mattagami River filled with logs are fascinating!
Open every summer, the museum is operated by students who are always willing to help.
Hours of operation:
July and August: 7 days a week, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Off-season and after hours: by appointment through Sheila Jacques, or by chance
